If you typed “how to fish game steam” into a search box, you probably already know this isn’t a bass-fishing tutorial. You want the store page. That’sSteam app 4001890, listed as How to Fish, made by Dazed Games. The Chinese storefront uses 渔力全开. Same game.
The long version — island crash, physics fishing, bosses, the 28 achievements — sits on theHow to Fish game homepage. This note is just the Steam side of it.
The listing that actually matters
Steam is the live product. Price, review score, and patch news change there first. Guides go stale. If this site and the store disagree, trust the store.
The pitch on the page is short: 1–4 players, physics fishing sim. You drink, you boat, you hit a small island, and the joke is that going home means learning how to fish. Action, Casual, Indie, Simulation. It launched August 20, 2026.
That’s enough to buy it. For how the loop actually plays, thegameplay section on the main guide is the better read.
App ID 4001890
People paste this into SteamDB, ProtonDB, or a download blog and hope it resolves to the right build. It does — on Steam. Third-party pages that wrap the same ID around a “free PC download” button are not Valve. They’re ads.
Wishlist, buy, refund window: all of that is Steam account stuff. Dazed Games doesn’t ship a separate launcher.
Reviews, in the numbers we actually have
When these notes were collected, the page sat at Overwhelmingly Positive: 95% of 7,607 reviews. That can move. It already tells you the game isn’t a dud in the first week, which is the only reason those scores are useful.
Steam also lists 28 achievements and both single-player and online co-op. If you’re showing up for a four-person boat, that’s theco-op note. Solo still works; the design is just louder with friends.
News, discussions, Discord
Patch notes and announcements go throughSteam news for the app. Player arguments live inSteam discussions. Bugs and design complaints: Dazed Games wants those on their Discord, not only in a review.
Streaming is allowed. They said you can record, upload, monetize. That’s in theFAQ on the homepage, copied from the studio site.
PC now. Consoles later, maybe.
Buy it on Steam if you have a Windows PC. The studio says console and Mac versions are coming and then shrugs about the date. No Xbox store tile, no PlayStation page, nothing to pre-order on a Microsoft account. Searching “xbox” next to this game is a fair question; the answer is still no.
